"Boom Boom" Geffrion"Boom Boom" Geoffrion was born in Montreal, Quebec, and began playing in the NHL in 1951. He was a player for 16 seasons and also a coach.

Geoffrion insisted that his whole family attend the ceremony even if he had to stay at the hospital. The morning of the ceremony, Geoffrion passed away.

His jersey was raised with that of his father-in-law,  Howie Morenz. I can only imagine how Geoffrion's widow felt as she watched the sweaters of her late husband and her late father rise to the rafters of the Bell Centre.
