Catherine Parr Traill was an author famous for her books "The Backwoods Of Canada" (1835), "Canadian Crusoes" (1852), Ramblings In The Canadian Forest" (1854), "Stories Of The Canadian Forests" (1856), "Afar In The Forest" (1869), and "The Studies Of Plant Life" (1884).
She is the sister of authors, Susanna Moodie, Agnes Strickland, and Samuel Strickland.
