Scott MacAulay, was one of the world’s best known pipers, became the founding Director of the College of Piping and Celtic Performing Arts of Canada in 1990. He adjudicated, taught and performed extensively throughout the United States, Scotland, New Zealand and Canada.

Mr. MacAulay had many achievements and credits to his name. He won numerous North American and Scottish solo piping competitions and received awards and distinction for innovative teaching and composing. His abilities and passion for teaching are best evidenced in the high success rate of his pupils on the international solo ping and pipe band circuits. He was awarded the Diploma of Piping and the Senior Teacher’s Certificate by the Institute of Piping in Glasgow, Scotland. Perhaps the greatest achievement in Mr. MacAulay’s piping career has been in heading a team that has positioned the College of Piping and Celtic Performing Arts of Canada in Summerside as a leading international centre for excellence in Celtic performing arts education.
